It was brought in a container of furniture. I kept it in my house in Sacramento until I moved to Oklahoma in 2004. I just brought it out of storage. All the drawers and doors still work fine. The only major flaw is 2 missing dowels. Other than that there is just the natural aging things which are minimal. Every antique dealer and knowledgeable furniture person says it is one of the finest carved item they have ever seen. It is stunning. Nothing on it is identical, each carve done 1 at a time. The people I bought it from and the dealers who have seen it believes it was made between 1830-1850. I have been around antiques and collectibles all my life but I am not an expert on furniture. The dealers who have seen it has both been friends and people who have been through my house in Sacramento on other items as I never tried to sell it before. Therefore, I think I am giving accurate information.  Shipping will have to be set up by buyer. I will help all I can including 2 days travel time if buyer covers truck rental and fuel.   The top and bottom separate.   The bottom is 52 x 25 inches at the base. 38 inches tall   The top is 54 inches tall with a combined height of 92 inches set up.   The lions are 13 1/2 inches tall - 15 inches long - 4 inches wide, the sides of the mane were carved separately and then attached   There are 60 dowels in the top front.   There are 52 dowels in the bottom front   There are 34 dowels on each side of the top section of the cabinet with 2 missing on the right side   180 dowels total   Each section weighs approximately 100 lbs I would guess. 2 of us lift and carry each piece but better to use 4 to put the top on.   Once a personhas  seen this cabinet they would become an expert on what was a later reproduction and an original. The difference is very noticeable.
