Description
Here is a REMARKBLE antique curio! There are over one-hundred examples of pressed seaweed collected from the 1850's through the 1890's from various locales in the United States. It is obvious from the painstaking detail that somebody put forth a great amount of effort in this endeavor and were quite skilled in this old art. Some of the examples come from New Haven Conn; Bridgeport, Conn; Southport Beach; Ormand, Fla; Long island Sound; East Palm Beach; and many others. Most are dated with the location and date. This is an amazing piece of Americana and I am sure it is a one-of-a-kind. I have enjoyed it for many years and now it is time to pass it on. I do not think you will ever see another like so do not let this one get away. It would be THE gift for the person that has everything! Winner pays a flat $4.50 shipping anywhere in the USA. Thank you. While you are here, please take a look at my other listings. I am liquidating about 40 years of gathered goods and curios. I just keep finding treasures to offer! Most all is vintage. There are the unusual and unique! Thank you. ****NOTICE**** I am in the process of listing MANY, MANY vintage table lighters. Most of these are very unique and many becoming scarce! Many are figural and topical. These listing represent years and years of collecting. Please take the opportunity to check back often. I think you will be both pleased and amused! I assure you that I will be listing some type of lighter that would appeal to you! Thank you! Remember my motto: “One is an accident; two is a coincidence; THREE is a COLLECTION” Hunt on……
