Beautiful Chippendale 5 drawer chest features graduated drawers ranging in depth from 5" at the top to 7.5" at the bottom. The top and bottom drawers have keyholes but not locking mechanism. Other drawers have locks. There is some staining in the top two drawers that we have pictured but all the drawers are good and solid with no splits or cracks. Back of the piece, again is is solid condition with no cracks or splits. The wood grain is beautiful. We are not certain of the age of the piece but based on it's construction we guess it to be late 1700 to early 1800's. Overall condition of this piece is incredible. There is a small surface scratch on the top drawer and there are several marks from years of use. There are no severe flaws however. (Color of the piece is not as reddish as it appears in the photos. It is more of a golden color.) The Chest measures 39" wide x 50" high.
