The side rails are 1 5/8" thick x 7 1/4" wide.  Bottom of the rail is 9 1/4" from the floor.  The footboard is 66 3/4" across, including post.  The black walnut on the footboard is 16 3/4" tall.  Top wood working frame/trim drops down 6" and is 1 5/8" thick.  It is a tall bed at 88".  The beautiful thick paneled squares go up the headboard to form a canopy.  I purchased this from a dealer who sells fine and unique items.  Only three of these beds exist and each one is slightly different.  So, you are not getting a cookie cutter bed. The actual value of bed is well over $14,000.  It is listed for much less.  Why?  Well, my loss is your gain.  I do realize that this does not appeal to the budget of every individual.  I also want to make it affordable to someone who may appreciate the rare beauty.  I am a statistic right now, currently unemployed.  Therefore, I must downsize and move into a smaller place.  Otherwise, I would never part with it.  It is a Queen Size Bed but does not come with the mattress, box spring or bedding. REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE  ACCEPTED!
