This is not structural and this table is still quite sturdy. The sabre legs look great! Shown here is the second tier of the table.      This beautiful antique style kingwood occasional table was hand-crafted in Italy around 1960. Inlaid with flowing, petaled vines of satinwood and rosewood, butterfly-veneered with kingwood and hand-painted, the floral table top looks extraordinary, which is fitting since inlay was developed during the Italian Renaissance. Solid brass trim and ornate gilding complement the wood beautifully, while a lower tier provides extra storage for, say, a small plant or some small object. Although this Italian occasional table is very sturdy, it has sustained numerous small scratches in the top, which are difficult to detect in any case, as well as a small, superficial splits in the corners (see pictures). Otherwise, condition remains very good and this Italian occasional table would make a fantastic addition to any home or office furniture collection! -Attention- This item ships anywhere in the continental U.S. for $35. The top of this Italian occasional table is composed of butterfly-veneered kingwood, satinwood floral inlays and hand-painted details on the vines. The black lines on the satinwood inlays are hand-painted. Here, as in the other close-up pictures, you can see a tiny scratch. There are several very minute scratches in the table top that are difficult to see unless looking at the table very closely. Shown here is the solid brass gilding along the apron, which is identical on all sides. The darker wood is rosewood. This is near one of the talbe edges.
