Description
Austrian Hungarian Art Nouveau Jugendstil Table (Click to Enlarge)(Click to Enlarge) This unique, octagon-shaped, ebonized chestnut table, circa 1890-1910, was imported recently from Hungary and is an exceptional example of Austrian Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) design. It features curved sides and the cross-shaped top, and the vertical ribs connecting the top and stretecher are characteristic of the designs of a handful of the leading designers of the period. Possible designers include Lajos Kozma, Anton Lorenz, Josef Hoffmann and Marcel Kammerer. Measures 29 3/8" by 29" by 27 1/2" and weighs approximately 30 lbs. Excellent condition.
