Berville (artist palatte with letters P. Berville and Paris) can be seen in part in the same  photo on the lower left corner of the case.   There is a small chip on a corner of one of the lenses and the prism edge is a little rough as can be seen in the 6th photo.  My grandfather's initials and surname are on page 1 of the instructions but there are no other marks on the instructions, case, or instrument.The Camera Lucida was used by artists, architects, portrait painters, engineers, etc to make enlargements and reductions in line drawings and photographs, render with accurate perspective and proportion scenery and live models, and copy maps or any document to scale.   Enlargements of up to 36 times can be made when the rod is at its full length of 25 inches.Email me with any questions.  I prefer Paypal or money orders.  Personal and cashiers checks must clear before shipment.  Payment is expected within 3 days of the auction end unless some arrangement has been made via email contact with the seller.  International buyers need to contact seller for shipping costs before bidding.
