Description
FRENCH ART DECO LEATHER CLUB CHAIR DUFRENE Made in France in 1925's this armchair blend style and comfort , often imitated and reproduced I am offering you the real thing .It is definitely the link between classic and modern even today , the upholstery has been redone with unstained leather ready to be custom colored .I include a hand stain color in the price if you win this auction.( see picture at the end ) The parchment inlay around the ebonized arm indicate a good provenance , this type of detailing was not mass produced .The inside original coils were restring . I had them refurbished by a professional , which means left as much as possible in their original form .Those have the distinctive Dufrene style , I found formal reference on this subject . CAUTION :The leather has been totally redone so it is not original . it should be Circa 1925, by MAURICE DUFRENE for La Maitrise. Maurice Dufrêne was a renowned professional decorator, editor of Maîtrise des Galeries Lafayette and president of Class 7 at the prestigious ParisExhibition des Arts Décoratifs. There is one for sale ,Size: H.34 x L.25 x D.32 , cushion 21 x 21, it is built within a square ( if you include the curve) which makes it very pleasing to the eyes.It is one armchair for sale. Maple wood arm with parchment inlay . CAUTION :The leather is not original , it was redone so those armchair are not "original antiques". I take credit card and American Express, the transaction will go throught my store .I guaranty my Antiques to be original, shipping will be done by truck or UPS depending on size. After the auction ends you need to contact me directly at Jcstyle@pacbell.net or use the Ebay link to Email me.
