Description
Field Surgeon's Case of Instruments Brass-bound shaped mahogany field-surgeon's case contains a large number of surgical instruments. The set was produced by the Manchester firm of J. & W. Wood and will date from around 1850. Inside there are a variety of bone-handled scalpels, lancets, forceps etc. Amongst the more interesting instruments we have a bone-cased trocar with silver cannula, and two superb bone-handled saws with blued-steel blades, both original to the set. There are two tracheostomy tubes and some spools of very substantial suture wire. Everything including the case is in very acceptable condition and this is one of the best sets of its type that we have seen for some time. POSTAGE Postage to United Kingdom addresses £8 Postage Outside the United Kingdom $30 PAYMENTS Payment can be made by personal cheque/check in sterling or US$, VISA/Mastercard, or, of course, Paypal.
