Description
Georg Jensen Denmark 1920's Sterling Silver Dish *** Offered at No Reserve! *** This auction is for a sterling silver piece of holloware by Georg Jensen Denmark. The markings on the piece date it to the period of 1925 to 1932. The artistry and detail of this piece is stunning although we have not been able to identify the pattern. It measures approximately 5" long, 3 5/8" wide and 2" tall. The piece is all hand-hammered and the dish itself has a great texture as a result. The underside is signed "GI 925 S" in a long oval with dots, "Georg Jensen" in a football with a crown on top, "Sterling", "Demark", "42", and a faintly stamped letter "B". This dish is in excellent condition with one or two very very insignificant little bends near the edges but no other flaws to note. We only mention those flaws to be entirely accurate, but they really are quite insignificant. This piece stands by itself as a piece of art and would make a wonderful addition to any Georg Jensen collection. We are offering this gorgeous little bowl to you with NO RESERVE! Please feel free to email with any questions or requests for further pictures. Be sure to check out all of our auctions as we will gladly combine shipping costs. Good luck and happy bidding! *** A note to our international buyers... While we offer international shipping as a courtesy to our buyers, we will only ship internationally by way of safe, secure, and insured methods. The United States Postal Service has recently raised its postage rates and this is reflected in the shipping costs on our auctions. We are estimating the cost of international delivery at $25 for Priority Mail International with shipping insurance. Please take this estimate into account when you are considering your bids. Thanks for your business. *** A note to all bidders... We do not end our auctions early with buy-it-now offers once an auction is underway. Please do not email us asking for Buy-It-Now pricing, as it is unfair to potential & active bidders. At the conclusion of an auction, we do not send second chance offers. Insurance has been estimated. Actual cost of insurance will depend on the final sale price of the auction.
