This one is the largest I've seen: 28" long! Styling elegant and classic with canted corners, pie crust edges and nicely formed handles. Certainly large enough for the massive Melon tea and coffee service I offer separately, and a great match. Created by the renowned London firm, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, this is a very high quality piece. In Paris 1900 Goldsmiths & Silversmiths won the Grand Prix. This ambitious firm proudly participated in numerous international exhibitions. Condition is very good to excellent. I find one minor ding and some also minor surface wear: nothing that a good professional polish will not take care of. There is an inscription on the front center, my silversmith indicates that the nscription can be removed and that removal may leave a slight irregularity. He also said he has NEVER seen a tray this nice. Actually, I think it would be such fun to have a vermeil or gold applied family crest put on top of the enscription! Your crest or monogram of course!
