Detailed biography for establishing provenance is available at ( www.jeffreygreene.com )One of only about twelve of this design ever made, the magnificent solid Bolivian Rosewood top is elegantly framed with an understated sub-bordering of hand cut incised detailing in solid Brazillian Purpleheart (natural purple color) The frame and legs are of solid African Wenge (naturally black with streaks of semi-sweet chocolate color). The availability and cost of these woods has made this exquisite piece impractical as a continuing showroom sample. Its value is certain to gain hugely in the next few years. Two twenty inch extension leaves are included. They are of identical quality and design to the main table, extending the same look as the table proper when installed. The dimensions are 46"W X 76"L X 30"H with no extension leaves in, and 46"W X 116"L X 30"H with the leaves in. (seats 14 with the leaves in with a full set of serving dishes down the center) The massive dovetailed slider system beneath the table which isn't visible unless you are under it, is made from solid 2"X3" bars of Brazillian Purpleheart (see photo of the slider system). (sometimes used for violin bows because of its incredible strength) The table will support a large man standing in the middle. (although the designer doesn't suggest it).
